I grew up in Germany in a french-german household and have lived in Bosnia and Herzegovina before moving to Rochester, NY.
I am passionate about solving problems through good design and ethical business.
In my free time, I like to develop new skills, travel, and create art.
2021 University of Rochester, Rochester, NY Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering Biosystems & Signals Track
2017 United World College in Mostar International Baccaleaureate
Honor Societies: Alpha Eta Mu Beta, Order of the Engineer, Tau Beta Pi Recipient of the G. Harold Hooke Prize
Leading the collection and analysis of EEG data for several research projects in the CNL Lab and managing the labs motion capture space using OptiTrack. Creating custome MATLAB and Neuobehavioral systems Presentation scripts and maintainging lab software and hardware. Performing ICA, epoching and statistical analysis on collected EEG data.
Designed a wireless Video Oculography system from the ground up while learning related engineering principles, project management, quality, and design techniques such as: Quality Functional Deployment (HOQ, VOC), Gantt Charts, FMEA, Design Control, DOE, ISO 9000 and 13485, Design Thinking, Cycle of Care. Worked with an international team on all the stages of the design and spearheaded the CAD aspect of our project for 3D printing.
Protoyped a new electroencephalography (EEG) experiment related to visual evoked potentials and analyzed the acquired data using self-taught methods in Python (MNE, Expyfun). Provided evidence to suggest that the thalamus was not represented in an EEG signal.
Led the Maker team through the completion of a Smart Mirror and a CNC Drawing Machine, which were exhibited at the Rochester Maker Faire. Used G-code, OpenCV, and JavaScript to code those projects. Learned to work under financial and temporal constraints, to be a resourceful problem solver, and to identify and delegate tasks
